Presentation by Dan Orr, Education and Community Coordinator, County of Northumberland, RE: 2022 Mayor's Challenge - Hardest Working Volunteers Award

Mr. Orr noted that every April the County holds an event called the "Mayor's Challenge" for all municipalities within Northumberland to participate in a community clean up.  This event was put on hold for the past 2 years due to the COVID 19 pandemic.  This year there were many participants across Northumberland County who collected a total of 9.8 metric tonnes of waste.  The Township of Alnwick/Haldimand collected an overwhelming amount of 42 kg of waste per volunteer and was presented with the "Hardest Working Volunteers Award".  Mr. Orr congratulated the Township for having retained this award for the past 9 events and noted that this award represents the hard work and dedication of the residents of the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand in keeping our community clean and beautiful.  Mr. Orr presented the award to Mayor Latchford and Council.
