Event:          Paramedic Services Week

Date:           May 22 – 28, 2022

“Whereas one week in May of each year is recognized across North America as Paramedic Services Week by municipalities, Paramedic organizations and associations, as well as other levels of government; and  

Whereas the 2022 Paramedic Services Week is May 22-28, 2022; and

Whereas the theme for this year is Paramedic as Educator – Faces of Paramedicine; and

Whereas paramedics dedicate their lives to public service, and their skills often make the difference to be recognized and honoured; and

Whereas the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand wishes to recognize the important contribution of the 120 full-time and part-time paramedics who work out of six bases across the County, as well as recognize the paramedics across Canada; and

Now Therefore Be It Resolved That I, Gail Latchford, on behalf of the Council of the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand, do hereby proclaim May 22 to 28, 2022 as ‘Paramedic Services Week’ in the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand, and urge our fellow community members to recognize the vital contributions provided by all Paramedics in Northumberland.”
