The Township of Alnwick/Haldimand Fire Department is currently inviting applications for both First Class and Recruit Volunteer Firefighters to join our team of committed individuals who provide an essential service to the community.
Our department operates as an on-call, 24/7 part-time fire service. We are proud to serve the residents and visitors of Alnwick/Haldimand Township through three fire stations, located in Roseneath, Centreton, and Grafton. Whether responding to fires, rescues, motor vehicle accidents, or emergency medical calls, our volunteers play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our community.

Reporting to the Parks, Recreation Facilities Manager, the Parks, Recreation & Facilities Labourer is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of day-to-day operation of all parks, trails and Municipal facilities. This position requires good customer service and communication while overseeing seasonal staff and working around the township.
This is a seasonal contract position which includes evenings and weekends. This contract will start the week of October 5, 2026 and ends May 1, 2027.

Reporting to the Parks, Recreation Facilities Manager, the Parks, Recreation & Facilities Labourer is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of day-to-day operation of all parks, trails and Municipal facilities. This is a permanent part-time position for twenty-one (21) hours per week which includes evenings and weekends. This position will start as soon as possible.

Reporting to the Parks, Recreation & Facilities Manager, the Parks, Recreation & Facilities Attendant will be responsible for assisting the Parks, Recreation & Facilities Labourer’s with the continued maintenance of our township facilities. This position works primarily at the Haldimand Memorial Arena.
This is a seasonal contract position which includes evenings and weekends. This contract will start the week of November 9, 2026, and ends May 1, 2027.

Reporting to the Parks, Recreation & Facilities Manager, the customer service clerk is responsible for providing first point of contact for the Township in-person, by phone and email by providing exceptional customer service to the public and internally. This position coordinates the initial response, resolution and redirection of all incoming telephone inquiries, emails, mail, website submissions and social media comments.
