Recreation Department Updates
· Council will be holding a Public Meeting on December 16, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Fenella Hall to hear comments from residents regarding the future use of Fenella Hall.
· The Township is pleased to announce that the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee will be holding two Christmas events:
o In coordination with the Grafton Green Thumbs, they will be hosting the Grafton Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 6, 2024 at the Grafton Heritage Park.
o A festive Christmas event at the Alnwick Civic Centre including a Christmas Parade outside on the track on December 14, 2025
· The Haldimand Memorial Arena & Recreational Complex Fundraising Ad Hoc Committee will be at the Grafton Outdoor Christmas Market. Come out to meet the Committee and see what they have in store for 2026!
Bring your family and friends to these holiday events to celebrate the start of the season. Enjoy warm drinks and holiday cheer with neighbours and friends. This is a wonderful way to come together and celebrate the spirit of the season.
Finance Department Updates
· Council’s first meeting to consider the 2026 Budget will be December 18, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at the Centreton Community Centre.
· Council will be holding a Public Meeting on December 16, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Fenella Hall to hear comments from residents regarding the 2026 Budget.
· Don’t forget applications for 2026 Municipal Grants and Donations are open until November 16, 2025. Local non-profit organizations and community groups are invited to apply for funding to support programs, services, or events that provide direct benefit to the Township and its residents. Clerks Department Updates
· Clerk’s Staff hosted a public information night with staff regarding the Multi-Year Accessibility Plan. The 2026-2031 Accessibility Plan Survey is now available until November 21, 2025. Share your feedback to help make our community accessible for everyone – to participate complete the survey here:
